5.1 Required Synchronous Activities

The MSDA program at the MGH Institute of Health Professions is an entirely virtual and largely asynchronous program. However, there are required synchronous components that all learners must attend. These experiences include, but are not limited to:

  •   New Learner Orientation
  •   Immersive Experiences
  •   Course-Specific Synchronous Sessions
  •   Synchronous Interactions with Colleagues (paired or group work)

Specific dates and times for these events will be announced in advance with as much consideration as possible to accommodate learner availability.

Learners who are unable to participate synchronously in a required activity must notify the Faculty of Record as soon as possible in order to make alternative arrangements when possible. Failure to do so may result in learner's being unable to receive course credit.
