FERPA Policy Pertaining to Students
Faculty cannot provide references for students for any purpose including employment, scholarships from agencies or organizations outside the IHP, or recommendations for any type of awards outside of the IHP without the documented permission of the student
Before requesting a reference for any propose, please check the consent form you completed on file in the Registrar’s office to be sure that your permissions and exceptions are up to date. Faculty are required to check that form before agreeing to writing a reference for any purpose.
